At a time when students around the world boycott their schools on Fridays to raise awareness of climate change across society, to protest, to demand concrete action for our planet and the future of our children. During this time, we would like to help make information and education a more central and visible component of society's response to climate change. And to ensure that this knowledge is applied effectively.
Example:
To absorb one tonne of CO2, less than 10% of the CO2 emissions caused by an average citizen of Europe or the USA, one beech must grow for about 80 years. This means that beech binds 12.5 kilograms of the greenhouse gas every year. So we have to plant 80 trees to compensate for one tonne of CO2 per year through trees.
So much work still needs to be done to neutralize the annual CO2 emissions of people on our planet!
